Dee Snider Has Been Added to All Star Benefit Comedy Show

The Station Fire Memorial Foundation announced today that that Dee Snider will be hosting the upcoming benefit Comedy Show entitled “Station Fire Memorial Foundation Comedy Show Featuring Craig Gass and Friends”.

While perhaps best known as the lead singer of 80’s sensation, Twisted Sister, there is so much more to Dee Snider. He has starred in several reality TV shows including The Celebrity Apprentice, Gone Country with John Rich, MTV’s Rock The Cradle with his son Jesse and Growing Up Twisted, an A&E series featuring the entire Snider family and their Long Island lifestyle. He is also a frequent host on MTV Networks and his own long running nationally syndicated radio show House of Hair is heard on more than 200 stations in North America, houseofhaironline.com. His recent starring role on Broadway in the hit musical Rock Of Ages generated national TV appearances on The Today Show, CNN’s Joy Behar Show and a legendary spot on The Jimmy Fallon Show.

Dee is no stranger to the Station family. He selflessly stepped forward in 2008 to help organize the successful ‘Phoenix Rising’ concert that was a resounding success for the Station Family Fund. We are grateful for his continued support.

The show will feature many well-known comedians including headliner Craig Gass, known for his regular appearances on Howard Stern and his many impersonations of people like Sam Kinison, Gene Simmons and Al Pacino. Gass’s numerous credits include Comedy Central’s Roast of Gene Simmons, Sex and the City, Las Vegas, King of Queens, Family Guy and American Dad.

Among the featured acts will be Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson. Florentine and Jamieson are the co-hosts of VH1 Classic’s hit heavy metal talk show series, “That Metal Show”. Jim Florentine is best known for his work on Comedy Central’s show Crank Yankers. Don Jamieson is also a co-host on “Beer Money,” a fast-paced, non-traditional sports quiz show airing on SNY (SportsNet New York). Jamieson is an Emmy award winner for his work on HBO’s “Inside the NFL”.

Local well known comics Stephanie Peters, Ace Aceto, Mike Murray and Tom Stewart will also be lending their talents, along with Shane Snider, the resident comic in the Snider household.

The event will be held on March 8th, 2013 at the Providence Performing Arts Center. The show begins at 8:00pm and ticket prices start at $30.00. Tickets are on sale now through the Providence Performing Arts Center Box Office (401-421-ARTS & www.ppacri.org). The net proceeds from this event will go to the Station Fire Memorial Foundation
